A popular local and tourist destination is downtown Vancouver's Seawall. The Vancouver Seawall technically starts at the Vancouver Convention Centre on the northeast side of the downtown peninsula and heads north all the way to Stanley Park. Today you'll be taken on a walking tour from the historic Waterfront Station, to Canada Place, past Vancouver Convention Centre, saying hello to the Olympic Cauldron, and down the beautiful Vancouver seawall towards Stanley Park. Note that this walking tour does not include the Stanley Park Seawall. This walking tour is filmed during Summer in Vancouver. LET'S WALK with me, today we are walking Vancouver’s 10-km (13,123-step) seawall loop around Stanley Park. It is Vancouver’s most popular fresh-air attraction. The Stanley Park Seawall is a beautiful way to get some exercise while learning about the history of the land beneath your feet. Created in 1917 with the goal of staving off erosion, the Seawall took 60 years to complete. Now, it is the park's most popular walking, jogging, biking. Today we will only walk half of the loop which started from Prospect Point Lighthouse, and we will walk past Vinson Creek, Siwash Rock, Third Beach, Second Beach, and ended our walk at English Bay Beach.
