09.06.2017

To learn more about Cinema 4D, please visit 🤍 In this three-part series of tutorials, you'll learn how to model various houses in Cinema 4D. You'll start with a very simple bungalow, then move on to a more specific Victorian terraced house, and finally, you'll tackle a building with an irregular floor shape. To learn how to add materials, see our tutorial on How to Texture a House: 🤍 In Part 1, you'll create a very basic bungalow. You'll start with a cube then modify it using the Knife, Extrude, and Extrude Inner tools to create windows, doors and a roof. In Part 2, you'll create a more specific model: the Victorian terraced. You'll use the Line Cut and Loop Cut tools to help produce the necessary geometry to allow for all the windows, windowsills and decorative lintels. You learn about the useful 0% Extrude function for Edges and Polygons, as well as scaling down groups of points or polygons to flatten them out. In Part 3, you'll learn how to model a house with an irregular floor plan. You'll also learn how to clone polygons, which makes it easier to add repeated elements such as multiple identical floors. And this time your house will be made up of multiple objects rather than one. The house does not have to be created out of a single mesh! Cinema 4D is 3D animation software that is used for all kinds of artwork. It is regarded as one of the easiest to use professional 3D applications that can handle any 3D task.

Cinema 4D Tutorial - How to Create an Exhibition Stand

76657

07.07.2017

To learn more about Cinema 4D, please visit 🤍 So something that’s come up quite a few times on our videos, is the request to show how to model an exhibition stand. As I explain in the video, this is something that is both relatively simple and tricky at the same time. Modelling something like that isn’t too difficult, not having a specific design to model from, is the trickier part. Once you’ve been allocated an exhibition space, normally you’d have an idea of the sort of layout you want, the sort of stuff available to you, the sort of stuff you could afford and you’d pop that all over to a designer who’d do the rest. In this video, I have taken features from a few bespoke exhibition stands and given some tips and tricks on how you could model your own. Firstly you will start by figuring out your space by using a cube and making it the correct size. Then you will use some textures from Cinema 4D’s content browser to add the floor. You will then learn how to use splines and an Extrude NURBS in order to create the back archway. You will use a simple cube and the bend deformer in order to add the front desks and upper struts. Using splines and extrudes or simple cubes you can give yourself the back of the stand and the front panel. Then you will learn how to apply some textures, correctly size them and then scale them to fit your model. Simple, clean textures allow the stand to “stand” out as it were and then using extra content from the browser you can fill your stand with other things like chairs and TV’s. Adding in simple lights, a physical sky, some luminent polygons and of course, Global Illumination and Ambient Occlusion, finalise your stand.

02.06.2017

To learn more about Cinema 4D, please visit 🤍 In this tutorial, you'll learn how to build and animate a very simple biped character in Cinema 4D. In just 15 minutes, you'll see what it takes to go from nothing to a character walking across your screen. That is modelling, rigging and animating done in 15 minutes, with no speed up or steps skipped. For this reason, the character built is incredibly simple and the motion is very basic. It needs refining, but we hope that you will be surprised by how quick it is to take your first steps in building, rigging and animating characters in Cinema 4D. Cinema 4D is 3D animation software that is used for all kinds of artwork. It is regarded as one of the easiest to use professional 3D applications that can handle any 3D task.

In this tutorial I'm going to show you how you can use Cinema 4D and Sketch and Toon to apply the popular line art styles to your 3D objects. Sketch and Toon is a fairly deep module in C4D but I'll cover all you need to know to be able to achieve this line art style look. I'll show you everything from how to flatly texture your object to how to apply strokes to your objects and even splines. I'll also demonstrate how to use Sketch Style Tags to be able to apply specific styles and sketch materials to individual objects in your scene. So, ah - its been a minute... went missing for a bit last year so I though it would be worthwhile reintroducing myself. My name is Sean Dove and I'm a creative from Melbourne Australia - I'm the art director at a studio and production company here called Chocolate Studios. So, what are we having a play with today? I have recently been playing with soft bodies inside Cinema 4D to create these nice cloth wrinkles, a lot thanks to a three-part series Chris Schmidt from Rocket Lasso put together where he goes into detail how to fine tune the effect. I really encorage you to go check out the full series! Using some of the techniques he discusses I wanted to share my approach to achieve this fun logo reveal as the cloth spins up around the ball. I shared this on my instagram and a few reached out wanting to know a few more details so lets give it a go!

In this quick tutorial I'll show how you can match the 3D camera perspective of a shot with a locked camera using the Cinema 4D Camera Calibrator. I am showing real production techniques actually used in the making of a short film to extend a set. As a bonus you will also see Shadow Catchers and how to light the scene using geo coordinates + time & date infos in conjunction with Cinema 4D's Physical Sky to recreate the exact sun position from the original shoot. This video is taken from a longer presentation I gave at IBC in Amsterdam.
